Do you prefer to write futuristic, contemporary or historical romances and why?Currently I am working on a contemporary romance. I have written historicals (ages ago when my writing sucked big time.) I also have a futuristic in the works. I've got plots, characters and scenes laid out. However, one never knows if they'll get to that huge backlog of ideas. I've got too many ideas to keep track of. Suffice it to say that I'll never be stuck for an plot to turn into a novel.
How has your life experience contributed to your writing?I don't know that it has contributed in a direct way. But I believe that everything we do, experience, try, taste and love influences who we are and what we write. A person's perceptions change over time. I looked at the stories I wrote many years ago. The heroines are so naive and young. As I have aged, my heroines have grown. Now, I write women who are stronger, older and more self-sufficient.
