A Wizard Rises: Golden Key Legacy

Book III in The Golden Key Legacy...

AJ Nuest
The homecoming celebration held in honor of Princess Faedrah is fraught with perilous frustration. Her nightmares have returned thricefold and, to her horror, a horrendous blight has spread like a plague throughout the kingdom. Compounding her worries, Rhys’ arrival in her world has been welcomed with the exact horror-filled reaction she expected. Her beloved has been cast into the dungeons, and no amount
of arguing with the king and queen will prove he’s her fated love.

Magical powers were supposed to be a gift, or so Rhys McEleod had always believed. Too bad the second he landed in Faedrah’s world the legacy he inherited slammed
into his body like a weight. He’s got zero control and his constant visions of Faedrah fighting an evil entity aren’t helping. At least her parents made the right decision and stuck him away someplace safe. Until he can figure out his next move, prove himself an ally and uncover the clues to stopping Faedrah’s nightmares, he’s got no choice but to wait…and learn exactly what he’s become.

It's a $0.99 SALE!!!

The entire The Golden Key Legacy
is sale priced!!!

A Furious Muse, Book I...
Since the day of her birth, Princess Faedrah Austiere has been defined by her place within the kingdom. As the single heir to the half-blood gypsy king and his prophesied white queen, she is fiercely protected, shuttered inside an ivory castle and well-trained in the art of war. Yet neither her obligations as future queen nor the black infestation threatening her kingdom fail to hinder the mysterious pull of the antique armoire hidden in her parents’ bedchamber. And stealing the golden key for a leap through time is the only way to confront the dark lord haunting her dreams.

One face. The image of one defiant, relentless woman has been stuck in Rhys McEleod’s head ever since he was old enough paint her luscious curves on the canvas. But the day she walks into his life off the street—sexier than hell and
itching for a fight—he’s not convinced she’s the same women he’s envisioned since childhood. That is, not until he spots the golden key around her neck—an object he’d never fully shown in any of his paintings.

Now if he could just persuade his lovely muse he’s not the enemy. Unless the elusive Faedrah Austiere learns to trust him, he’ll never have her in his bed—the one place he’s convinced she belongs.

The Sacrifice, Book II...
The second Faedrah Austiere walked into his life off the  canvas, everything in Rhys McEleod’s world stopped making sense. Not only does her story sound like a Grimm’s fairy tale, evidently he’s been cast as the villain. If that isn’t enough, the mirror inside that old, beat up armoire at her uncle’s condo is supposedly a doorway to another world. Ever since the pathway opened, something inside him has seemed…off. If what his muse says is true, they are headed for an epic  showdown, but he isn’t about to let her go. Nothing is more important than Faedrah’s protection, even if her parents refuse to accept him.

Though certain their fates are bound by more than the golden key Princess Faedrah wears around her neck, it is paramount Rhys’ true identity be kept secret. Should news of his bloodline ever reach her kingdom, their entire quest to save her people could be lost. Their only hope to prove his loyalty is to steal the map to the dark lord’s Crystal Crypt. Yet her a plan endangers her beloved more than the accusations he faces in her kingdom and, to escape evil’s grasp, she and Rhys must take a leap of faith beyond her wildest imagination.

Pre-Order the Final Installment in this epic time travel fantasy romance!
Releases February 26th!
Rhys had one job to do. One measly errand that shouldn’t have been a problem, given the nature of his powers. But when an old enemy reappears, detailing the result of his actions, Rhys is forced to make a choice between a future with Faedrah or dying before his time. Frustrated and out of options, he agrees to her suggestion they to leap forward in time to the future…even though a good chance exists his powers will be nothing but a memory in his world. Flying blind on a wing and a prayer, they prepare to fight for everything they love against a wizard of insurmountable power.

Faedrah does her best to gather their closest allies. The sides are squared in a war to control the future of both worlds. With the stakes so high, only one advantage has been cast in their favor. The sigil of utmost protection inherent in Rhys’
signature. If not enough to thwart the evil awaiting at the Austiere gates, she could find herself imprisoned in the future, while her kingdom and all those she has sworn to protect are lost to the mists of time.

Reading Extravaganza: What's In my To Be Read Pile

Today Elizabeth Janette wants to know what's on your TBR list. This week's blog hop focuses on just that!

I'm hoping you came over from Sarah Hegger's blog at
If you haven't come from there, be sure to pop back and check out her posting.

My to be read pile is tall. Too tall to imagine actually. I have a huge list on my profile on Goodreads and a wish list on Amazon. My Kindle is full to overloaded and my house is full of unread books. (We won't get into the crates of completed books.

First on my list is  Nobody's Angel by the above mentioned Sarah Hegger

In this evocative new series from author Sarah Hegger, a woman returns home after a long absence--and wonders if two wrongs really can make a right. . .

Nine years ago Lucy Flint ran away to Seattle, taking her friend's boyfriend and leaving her high school sweetheart without a word of explanation. Now she's back in Willow Park, Illinois, to help care for her ailing father--and it's no surprise that her ex, Dr. Richard Hunter, is still angry.

Still, she's a different Lucy now. Sober, wiser, ready to make amends to the long--make that very long--list of those she mistreated during her wild younger days. Falling for Richard all over again would mean wreaking havoc in both their lives and possibly squandering her opportunity for redemption. But here, in the place where everything went wrong, is the one person who always felt right, and a second-chance that could be the best mistake she ever made. . .

Trouble is, I can't even buy it yet. I've pre-ordered my copy and hope you will to.

Second on my list is
J.J. Devine's
Vampires and Witches: Are they mythical creatures or something that walks amongst us every day without our knowledge?

To Raven, a twenty-five-year-old, extremely sheltered woman, they are nothing more than something to be read about in a book. To Dragon, an eight hundred-year-old vampire, they are a way of life.

Raven truly believes she is going mad. Erotic dreams fill her nights, causing her to question her sanity by the light of day. They lead her into a world she never knew existed and a heritage that can only be found in nightmares.

Dragon wants nothing more than to own the mortal soul of the beautiful Raven, a woman who can make his ancient scars disappear, proof that she is far from mortal.

Together they seek out the dark heritage of her past. What they find is much more than either of them bargained for. A destiny lies at her doorstep, one that could bring her salvation and an eternity at his side. Or, it could seal her fate and rip her from his world forever.

Lucky for me, this one is sitting on my Kindle waiting for me.

I highly recommend that you visit
The Romance Writer's Weekly Facebook Page to find out more about these talented authors and dozens of others. So much reading, so little time.

Next up on our blog hop is Rhenna Morgan at

Be sure to comment and tell me what's on YOUR reading list. I'm always looking for new reads by great authors.

You Did What?

Welcome one and all to another exciting episode of the Romance Weekly Blog Hop. Hopefully, you're arrive here from Fiona Riplee's blog.

A Day in the Life: What do you do when you’re not writing? Today's question comes to you from Xio Axelrod.

I'm a writer, I'm pretty sure we've already established that. (And a bit sarcastic at times too, which goes without saying.) But it doesn't take all my time, just most of it.

If I spent as much time writing as I do on social media crap and promotion, I would have a much bigger back-list. But, efficiency is definitely not my middle name. I'm easily distracted and have trouble focusing some days. Where was this discussion going?

Oh. Ya. A day in the life ... Let's see, what do I do. I suck back gallons of coffee, lay on the couch eating bonbons fed to me by a bulging Adonis of a man who caters to my every whim. Crap ... dreaming again.

I wish I could tell you that I have an exciting exotic life full of travel and hot naked men. But alas, I cannot. I lead an ordinary, work-a-day life. I spend a lot of time writing and doing related tasks. I do as little housework as I can ... enough that if I actually clean up Hubby asks who's coming over. I spend as much free time as I can playing with my three adorable grand babies. In a past life, I was a longarm quilter and had a quilt pattern company, but I've given that up to devote myself to writing. But I still putter a bit at quilting. I love lacrosse (watching, not playing) and often feature lacrosse players in my stories.

So basically, my life is like yours. I cook. I clean. I write. I spend time with family. And when the weather is above +2 Celcius, I spend my time up north, staying in a holiday trailer writing and building campfires. I have a super easy, low stress life and a wonderful husband who supports my time consuming, low paying ambition to be an author.

Be sure to swing by Ronnie Allen's Blog  for her take on this topic. Her life is radically different to mine!

What a Woman Desires

Today it is my pleasure to bring your attention to a wonderful romance by talented author Rachel Brimble. I am super thrilled to have Rachel here with me today. She's a talented writer, and her stories will move you. And, it releases Monday, January 4, 2015!

What a Woman Desires

From country girl to actress of the stage, one woman dares to live her dreams—but is she brave enough to open her heart…?

Monica Danes always wanted more than the village of Biddestone had to offer. After a failed courtship to a man of her parents’ choosing, she fled for the city of Bath and never looked back. Today, Monica is the undisputed queen of the theater—a wealthy, independent woman. But when she is called home in the wake of tragedy, Monica returns—intending to leave again as soon as possible.

Thomas Ashby has been a groom at the Danes estate since he was a boy—and has been enamored with Monica for almost as long. He knows he isn’t a suitable match for his master’s daughter, despite the special bond he and Monica have always shared—and their undeniable attraction. But now that she’s returned, Thomas has one last chance to prove himself worthy—and to show Monica a life, and a love, she won’t want to give up...
Monica stared at the man’s partially revealed profile, obscured by the shadow of his hat. Familiarity she couldn’t place swept over her. He was tall, almost a foot taller than her, his shoulders broad and his biceps thick. Her gaze drifted along the sinewy forearms revealed by his rolled shirtsleeves. A laborer. She lifted her gaze to his face as he glared at their attackers. His jaw was chiseled despite the stubble that grazed it. She swallowed as shameful intimidation and attraction rolled through her. She imagined his eyes were the deepest blue. . . .
“Get up.”
The sound of his deep, rough voice a second time sliced through her appraisal and Monica stiffened.
“Get up now,” he growled.
Her breath knotted in the center of her chest. “Thomas?”
He turned and their gazes locked for the briefest moment before he looked to the men once more. It was barely a second, maybe two, that he’d looked at her, but the intensity of his gaze lingered on Monica’s skin, burning white-hot heat through her clothes to sear deep into her flesh just the way it had years before. Her heart picked up speed and her body warmed with a desire she hadn’t known in so very long. To trust a man implicitly, to know he cared for her and those closest to her was a rarity she’d taken for granted throughout the years she’d lived in Biddestone.
Her time away had taught her more than Thomas would ever understand. Shame pinched hot at her cheeks. No matter her previous connection with him, the men she’d met since had made her doubt her instincts and not dare to trust again. Yet, the life lessons she’d endured would do nothing to soothe the undoubted scar she’d left on Thomas’s sense of loyalty by leaving Marksville and not once looking back.

Rachel lives with her husband and two teenage daughters in a small town near Bath in the UK. After having several novels published by small US presses, she secured agent representation in 2011.
